Our Energy Team
Tung Nguyen
Tung is an expert in power electronic and a Co-founder of Lithe Solutions Ltd., a consulting firm providing services in technology assessment, power electronics design, control as well as energy management controller in smart-grid applications. Tung has total 15+ years of experience in power electronics in both academic and industrial applications with considerable patents and publications.
Tung recently spent 5 years leading a multi-disciplinary Engineering team including 20+ highly skilled and experience engineers in mechanical, electrical, power electronics, software and production.
His work spanned from design architect, problem solving, technical review, coaching to recruiting, task management and team culture creation. As a result, his team successfully developed and certified a Commercial & Industrial Energy Storage System with patented cell level control technology in a short timeline with limited resource, in addition to several ongoing development technologies in products.
As an Engineering leader, Tung worked directly with internal Executives while interfacing with Investors and strategic partners. He brought in and managed relationships with a number of high-profile battery OEMs and industrial companies.
Tung has spent 15+ years in power electronics design and control with variety of topologies: DC/DC, AC/DC, grid-forming/grid-following inverter, multi-level converter in several applications such as motor drive, active power filter, solar inverter, Battery Energy Storage System in wide power ranges, from 5W to 6kW to 100kW. He has extensive hands-on experience and meticulous approach in all phases of development, from mathematical model, simulation, hardware design to firmware programming, power testing and product certification.
Tung holds a PhD. degree in Power Electronics in the field of Electromagnetic Interference (EMI), which he found essential for reliability of any power converter design. Later, he was the main inventor of 10 granted and pending patents in various industrial products.
Sam Kwok, MBA, P.Eng, PMP
Sam brings nearly two decades of engineering and operations leadership to the evolving world of energy storage and power systems. With a technical foundation in mechatronics engineering and advanced credentials in project and business management, Sam has played a key role in designing, launching, and scaling storage solutions across commercial, industrial, and utility markets.
His expertise spans energy storage system integration, power electronics, and the development of reliable, grid-responsive solutions for real-world applications. At Siemens Canada, Sam led multi-million-dollar programs across drive systems, heavy industry, and infrastructure projects—earning recognition for both strategic growth and operational execution. He directed proposal and strategy teams, managed complex project portfolios, and delivered strong results in demanding technical environments.
Now part of the Sabre Solutions team, Sam helps clients develop and deploy customized storage and electrification strategies. He’s known for translating technical possibilities into practical solutions that improve resilience, efficiency, and long-term value.
